Welcome back to another day in the life of a New York City ballerina! As I continue on this dance journey, I love sharing the ups and downs and these shortsmas videos are the perfect way to share what it’s like to be a beginner ballerina in New York! Today I realized I would have to be dancing blind since I forget my contacts and then I stopped at a coffee shop before class began to get some work done. Despite the issues with being able to see what I was doing, it was actually nice to just feel the music and movements instead of worrying too much about how I look.

If you're new here, hi! My name is Veronica Viccora. I live and dance in New York City, and this is my story.

If you've ever wondered what it's like to be a ballerina in NYC, here is a behind the scenes look of what it's like! As an adult ballerina learning to dance in my 20s, it can be scary going to class sometimes. Being in class with tons of other ballerinas who have been dancing since they were in the womb can be intimidating. But I'm here to show you that you can start at any age and allow ballet to change your life. It's certainly changed mine!

Ballet has made me stronger, more elegant, more focused, happier and given me a community of like minded individuals who love to perform and move their body as much as I do. Please don't let anything hold you back from learning how to dance!

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this day in the life of an NYC ballerina. If you're enjoying the NYC ballerina diaries, let me know. I'm so enjoying doing Vlogmas and I'll definitely make more day in the life of a ballerina videos!
