Takase-san has been crafting Japanese denim for decades but started his brand “Bante” in an effort to blend his craft with streetwear pieces. It’s extremely rare to find a streetwear product embedded in craftsmanship and deep cultural roots. ESPECIALLY in one of Tokyo’s most influential streetwear stores. It’s honestly so cool to see him blur the lines between two genre’s of fashion that otherwise remain pretty separate.
