Today on luxury fashion brands being dumb: Alaia
Pairing a dark / black leather and a light colored fabric is a big no no. The leather will bleed onto the fabric and chaos will ensue. This would be less of an issue if it were black on black! To avoid this issue the garment needs to be deconstructed before cleaning and put back together after cleaning.
The leather is already transferring dye onto the white polyester through day to day use which is even more disappointing to see.
What's frustrating is they slapped 'leather specialist only' on the care label and said, "Not my problem"!
Another classic example of a 'luxury' brand giving almost no thought as to how their piece can be cleaned. Disappointing
