The FIDM museum in Los Angeles has hundreds and hundreds of items from the past 400 years, and getting to see these gowns, coats, and accessories up close was absolutely incredible. The way that they build a mannequins for each individual garment, the careful creation of every single show, left me feeling so inspired. Also, lately I’ve had such a fascination with the Gilded Age since moving to New York, and getting to see these garments and how they were created up close was so spectacular! I know my history books are going to be so excited about this video!
