DAY 3 - Do you need to have long nails to play Spanish Guitar?
In short, no, it's not a must. But ideally it's great if you can have a little extra length on them. This will allow you to have a wider variety of tones, by being able to choose between playing with a sharper nail tone and a warmer fleshy tone from the skin. Some techniques may even be a little easier to execute with a little extra length on your nails. And remember, we're not talking long diva nails ???????? lol. All it takes is a little bit of extra length to make a difference.

***There are accomplished guitarists that play with short nails. In fact, there were a couple renown Classical guitarists that were known for playing without any extra nail length.
