Campbell was raised in West London, the daughter of architect Sophie Hicks.

She went on to study Art History at the Courtauld Institute of Art, where she graduated with First Class Honours.

Her modeling career took off after she appeared in a Vogue piece on young Londoners on the rise.

At the age of 16, she was cast in the Burberry Spring/Summer 2008 campaign alongside Agyness Deyn, Eddie Redmayne, and Lily Donaldson.
