I came up with this simple hack to hang our stockings when I heard a story of a little boy that pulled on his stocking, causing the weight to fall on him. He ended up needing quite a few stitches and losing his eye. That’s a punch in the gut to this mama. I threw away my weights and came up with this idea to safely hang our stockings and now I’ve been doing it this way for YEARS!

???? I got a cheap curtain rod from Amazon (I’ll send the link if you’re interested)

???? Bend the L brackets that attach to the wall so they’re flat. You might need a wrench to help you bend these.

???? Get some command strips and attach to the L bracket, then the fireplace. I use 3 brackets for my fireplace. One on each end and one in the middle to support.

???? Hang the curtain rod across the brackets just like you would if it was on the wall.

???? Slide your stockings on! That’s it! When you go to remove the brackets, gently pull the command strip tabs. ????❤️
