Are tired of having aching feet from high heels? Or have you already given up on wearing heels, but you feel you just don’t get the look right?
I am going to show you a few tricks to looking fabulous in flats.
If you have long slender legs and ankles, then you can get away with wearing any kind of flat. But if not…. Listen up for great tips on how to choose your perfect pair of flats.
If you have cankles, then you need to wear a flat that is as open as possible without straps running across your ankle. Straps around your ankle will make them appear wider than they are. Alternatively, wear a sandal that has detail in the middle of your foot. This draws attention away from your ankle.
If you have short legs, then a pointy toe will work to create the illusion that they are longer than they are.
If you have slender ankles, then the crisscross pointy toe flat will work well for you and they are bang on trend. In fact, if your ankles are thinner proportionately to your calves, wearing a thicker strap across your ankles will work to bulk them up a little and make them look more in proportion.
The nude flat shoe works like magic. It can elongate your leg, making it look like an extension of your foot, it can also work for ladies who have cankles and remember that a nude strap cheats for cankles too as the strap is less obvious than a colour strap.
Now lets chat about the lengths you need to wear with flats.
Avoid wearing ¾ lengths as this will shorten your look.
Rather wear your skirts, dresses and shorts a little shorter than usual. If you don’t want to show your knees, wear your length just below your knee. That way you show enough leg to make it worth it and you don’t cut across the widest point of your calf.
