Light and springy, it's not hard to guess what inspired the 'pas de chat' in ballet choreography.

Literally translated to 'step of the cat', no step better portrays the playful and mischievous nature of our feline friends.

The pas de chat is famously used in the pas de deux between the White Cat and Puss-in-Boots in Act III of The Sleeping Beauty.
