The FBI has taken over the investigation into a mass casualty incident on Bourbon Street, now being treated as an act of terrorism. The attack left at least 10 people dead and 35 injured after a suspect intentionally drove a truck into a crowd early New Year's Day.
After plowing through the crowd, the suspect crashed his vehicle and shot two responding officers. The officers fired back and struck the suspect. He was declared dead at the scene.
