I believe it is very important to take care of what you have (no matter the initial cost). It is part of building a sustainable, long-lasting wardrobe. I know in some regions and cities it might be easier to find craftsman that offer repair services than other, but I encourage you to find experts in your region. Getting a referral is always great (especially from the locals), or asking a vintage store for the contact of a good tailor could be an idea. I especially appreciate older people, they always have great advice, because they have experience and they have valuable contacts.
