Minimalist 3D Acrylic Art

Hiya Duck,

Today we have Morgan in and we’re doing a sliver of 3D. It’s gonna add strength, it’s gonna be banging and it’s gonna be minimal.

I’ve got my sculpt already and I’m going to pick up a bead quite dry and pop that on at an angle to add a 3D element kind of like a block of acrylic. I’ll do this on 3 nails and leave two nails plain. Once I’ve got the acrylic down, I’m going to file it smooth so the gel polish sits nice.

For the gel polish, I’m going to start with the base coat and I’ve got to make sure none of the gel pools in the acrylic so I’m going to drag the excess off with my brush. I’ll then apply two coats of colour to each nail in the same way.

Morgan wants bling, so we’re going to add teeny tiny gems along the edge of the acrylic and top coat the whole nail.
