My FIRST TATTOO in MEXICO...Was this a MISTAKE?!

I traveled to Mexico City to get my first tattoo in Mexico. It was kind of a nightmare. In this vlog I'll share the full experience, price, healing/aftercare, and more.

I've gotten loads of tattoos over the years (all of them done in the United States) so after 4 years of living in Mexico, I decided it's time to get one done here. In this vlog I'm in Mexico City getting a colored marigold tattoo on my leg/ankle.

It was a little nerve-wracking to try to explain what I wanted all in Spanish but I got through it. Thankfully, Doris was very patient with me. During the tattooing process, it was SO much more painful than I expected—even more painful in some parts than any other tattoo I've gotten.

All the pain of the 3-hour tattoo session was nothing compared to the week after though. My foot and ankle swelled up to be double in size and it was excruciatingly painful to walk for a week straight. The tattoo still isn't even close to being healed (10 days after the session as of posting this video) so I'll have to post another update with the final-final product in an upcoming vlog.
