I'm sure it's happened to most of us -- we see a really cool fashion plate, or movie costume, or extant dress, and wonder -- how the heck is that thing made? And then we embark on the trial and error process of figuring it out. So this is all about how I took my basic Victorian bodice block and made it into the pattern for my Gilded Age fashion plate.
