Ric Mason opened Painless Ric’s Tattoo Parlor in downtown Camas in 1988. It’s the longest running tattoo shop in Clark County. On New Year’s Eve, Ric went to the hospital with stomach pain and was diagnosed with lung cancer. Just two weeks later, he passed away, leaving the business to his daughter Ciarra. She, with some help from Ric’s former apprentice Ryan “Boomer” Boomhower of 3rd Heart Tattoo are going to keep it running to ensure “Painless Ric’s” legacy lives on. Ciarra has set up a GoFundMe to help pay for long-overdue renovations and expenses for the family.
