'Serious deficiencies' in making of tattoo ink: Researcher

A new study is raising concerns about what's in tattoo ink that's being permanently written onto people's bodies. Researchers found that 90% of the 54 U.S.-manufactured inks they analyzed had major inconsistencies with the ingredients on their labels, and some are linked to illnesses. As of right now, the FDA does not regulate tattoo ink. Professor John Swierk is a senior researcher in the study and joins "NewsNation Now" to discuss the findings.
