During the Second World War, the Waffen-SS were said to have been some of the most ruthless and feared soldiers. But at the end of the war the Allies then wanted to punish members of the SS, and one thing they realised is that large amounts of SS members had a tattoo on their arm. This was a simple letter, and is known as 'The SS Blood Group Tattoo.' This was a letter indicating the blood group of the SS member, but this was seen as evidence of membership of a criminal organisation, and it later led to the executions of SS members.
