She was one of the finalist among Priyanka Chopra, Lara Dutta, Diya Mirza and Gayatri. She talks about how she used to be a studious child and aspired to become a fighter pilot in the Indian Air Force, but destiny had a different tale to tell and she ended up in the fashion industry. Lakshmi realised that this is what her true calling was. She talks about the hustle and hard work she had to put in which truly defined her success. Today Lakshmi is a successful entrepreneur and also manages her family life with ease. Lakshmi was among the top 5 contestants in the Femina Miss India 2000 which was adjudged by a panel that also had Shah Rukh Khan.
