This week we are joined by our comrade Al from Bluestockings NYC, New York’s only queer, trans & sex worker owned bookstore– located in the Lower East Side in Manhattan! We talk about Bluestockings’ important role in providing a safe community space for a variety of individuals and groups, and Al educates us on the ins and outs of harm reduction– how to spot an overdose, the origins of fentanyl and other new drugs on the scene, and larger structural critiques of drug policy. We also discuss their sex work and what it was like opening up to people about that work.
