Layering tights for warmth / Thigh highs, Tights and Knee Highs

It's mid winter and it's been a colder than usual so I decided to make a video about layering tights for warmth, and fashion of course. I use sheer nude pantyhose to layer over a pair of grey thigh high stockings and then I add a couple pairs of knee highs to find out the perfect fashion combination for a cold winter day. Tights are definitely my favourite type of nylon but I must admit thigh highs and knee highs come in close second.

My tights outfit I'm rocking today is a teal ribbed long sleeved crop top with a draw string that gathers and I matched it with a pale pink body con skirt that has gathering as well. I found all the gathering creates a unique and interesting texture to my outfit of the day.

I then try on a pair of grey/taupe lace top thigh highs and put on a pair of sheer nude pantyhose from Platino. I love the waistband of these pantyhose, it doesn't stamp or dig in so they are quite comfortable tights.

As I add layers I grab a pair of pale pink knee highs as well as some teal green fishnet knee highs so that I can see which pair rocks my outfit the most. My shoes consist of 3 pairs of So Kate inspired pointed toe pumps as well as a pair of sparkly wedge sneakers by Michael Kors.

Steve Madden shiny, tan pumps look great with the layered combo but the Leopard or Cheetah print heels may have stolen the show this time around. What do you think?

My pink sparkly So Kate Louboutins match my skirt perfectly and pull out the tones from all the layered nylons underneath.

My accessories consist of my Michael Kors purse, some dangly turquoise earrings, a simple silver link chain necklace from American Eagle and my aviator sunglasses.

Which hosiery and heels combo did you like the most? Or was it the sneakers that stole your heart?

After filming this video I fell deep in love with thigh highs and intend to wear a lot more stockings especially in the winter. The lace top of nylon stockings give an outfit spice, texture and a sweet detail that most pantyhose just don't.
