A World War II log book and a collection of service records reveal the untold story of an RCAF airman, from enlistment to postwar (1943-46). Flight Sgt Wireless Operator/Air Gunner Wes McElgunn’s story, connecting the dots between WWII military and personal records and his time in Penticton.
Viv McElgunn-Lieskovsky is a long-time Penticton resident and professional artist, who is passionate about art, education, culture, heritage, historical travel and her family and community. She holds a B.Ed in Fine Arts and M.Ed in Counselling Psychology from UBC, and has been a teacher, counsellor and principal throughout more than 40 years in public education
The Brown Bag Lecture Series is an opportunity to spice up your lunch hour with interesting presentations and discussions on a variety of heritage and culture topics.
