Brian Easdale's marvelous score that he did for the ballet sequence in the movie "The Red Shoes". This is a slightly different version than that heard in the movie, although apparently performed by the same orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and done the same year the movie was released, 1948. It is shorter by about 3 minutes, as some short passages are left out, and the sound is a little cleaner and clearer. From the CD "The Red Shoes: Music from the Films of Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger (the Archers) 1941-1951" on the "CD41" label. If you've never seen "The Red Shoes", I highly recommend it. You dont have to be a ballet fan (I'm not) to appreciate it.
